Keshav joined Appleby Shaw as a paralegal in the Criminal Department in September 2016 having completed the LPC at BPP Law School and read Law at the University of Birmingham.

Keshav earned his training contract in November 2017 and began in the Criminal department before gaining experience in both the immigration and civil litigation departments.

Keshav specialises in Criminal Law and deals with clients at the Police Station, Magistrates Court and Crown Court.

In working especially closely with the Director and Head of the Criminal Department Neeru Hutchinson, he has gained experience of a wide range of criminal matters including terrorism, fraud, money laundering, drugs and murder cases. Keshav is involved in all aspects of preparing cases for trial including taking proofs, instructing experts and drafting defence case statements.

In working within the Civil Litigation department under guidance of the head of Civil Litigation and Director, Peter Greenwood, Keshav has gained experience of partnership disputes, trespass, and contractual disputes. He is routinely required to conduct legal research, draft pleadings and witness statements.

Outside of the office Keshav has volunteered for the Egyptian Centre for Women’s Rights and his interests include travelling, politics, and cars.
